Delta Exchange India — Account Setup & API Integration Guide

What is Delta Exchange India?

Delta Exchange India is a SEBI-recognised cryptocurrency derivatives exchange offering BTC, ETH, and other crypto options, perpetual futures, and calendar futures contracts. It is one of the most liquid venues for crypto derivatives trading in India, with robust API infrastructure that supports algorithmic and automated trading.

All SmartTradersIndia algorithms execute trades on Delta Exchange India. Your capital stays in your Delta account at all times — SmartTradersIndia only places orders via API, it never holds or transfers your funds.

Step 1 — Create Your Delta Exchange India Account

1. 1Visit the Delta Exchange India website and click "Sign Up".
2. 2Enter your email address and create a strong password.
3. 3Verify your email via the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
4. 4Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) — this is mandatory for API access.

Step 2 — Complete KYC

Delta Exchange India requires standard Indian KYC before you can deposit or trade. The process typically takes 24–48 hours for verification:

• PAN Card: Required for all Indian residents.
• Aadhaar Card: For identity and address verification.
• Bank Account: IFSC and account number for INR deposits and withdrawals.
• Selfie: A live selfie for liveness check during KYC.

Step 3 — Fund Your Account

Once KYC is complete, deposit funds via NEFT, IMPS, or UPI to your Delta Exchange INR wallet. The minimum deposit for meaningful options trading varies but we recommend having at least the minimum capital requirement for your chosen lot size before activating live trading.

Step 4 — Create a Sub-Account for SmartTradersIndia

We recommend creating a dedicated sub-account on Delta Exchange specifically for SmartTradersIndia — this keeps your copy-trading activity separate from any manual trading you may do:

1. 1In Delta Exchange, go to Account Settings → Sub-Accounts.
2. 2Create a new sub-account named "SmartTradersIndia" or similar.
3. 3Transfer the capital you intend to allocate for copy trading into this sub-account.
4. 4Generate API keys specifically for this sub-account.

Step 5 — Generate API Keys (Critical Security Step)

1. 1In your Delta sub-account, navigate to API Management.
2. 2Click "Create New API Key".
3. 3Label the key clearly: "SmartTradersIndia - [Date]".
4. 4Enable ONLY: Read access + Trade/Order placement.
5. 5Disable COMPLETELY: Withdrawal permissions.
6. 6Note the IP address of your VPS or set IP whitelisting to SmartTradersIndia's VPS IP: 204.12.218.20.
7. 7Copy the API Key and API Secret immediately — the secret is shown only once.

Step 6 — Connect to SmartTradersIndia

Once you have your API key and secret:

1. 1Open SmartTradersIndia in Telegram.
2. 2Go to Profile → Delta Exchange Connect.
3. 3Follow the admin-assisted setup process — submit your credentials securely.
4. 4The admin team will verify the API key, set up the connection, and confirm via Telegram notification.
5. 5Once connected, you will see your Delta account status as "Active" in the Profile tab.

Keeping Your API Keys Secure

• Never share your API Secret with anyone, including SmartTradersIndia support staff.
• Rotate your API keys every 90 days as a security best practice.
• If you suspect your API keys have been compromised, immediately revoke them on Delta Exchange.
• Monitor your Delta account for any unexpected orders or activity.
• Keep your Delta account email and 2FA device secure at all times.
